Today I am sharing with you 3 cards i made from one of the new digi stamps available to buy from Gerda Steiner Designs.
The image is called “Mermaid” and is also the image for this months progressive card challenge…this means that if you purchase the stamp, make a card with it and link it to the monthly challenge, you could win 3 GSD Digital Stamps of your choice or alternatively a $15 Coupon to use in the store! Not only that Gerda will then email next month’s image for free!!
Check out her other digital images and clear stamp sets and I would think you will agree with me, that her whimsical/cute style is something you will want in your collection.
Card one…I coloured this image with Prismacolor pencils and mounted it onto watercolour card so that I could have a watercolour background…I hand wrote the sentiment because I didn’t have a stamp set to use… and of course, it goes without saying, If you can’t be you…be a MERMAID!
Card two… I coloured this image with Copic alcohol markers and blended the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I used a bubble die by Memory Box to pop her up and give the card some dimension. The sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted stamp set called Best Birthday…and lots of lovely Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker, in clear, to make her shimmer!
and lastly, card 3… This one was also coloured with Copic markers and inked with Distress inks but I decided to make this one a shaker card! The shaker part of the card was cut using a Memory Box die called Large Circle Burst…don’t they look like bubbles? Popped it all up on fun foam and used some random sequins I had in my stash. The sentiment was also from a Clearly Besotted stamp set called Under the Sea, and yes, more shimmer! 🙂
I know I’ve said it before, but it is very easy to have fun using Gerda’s images…why not head over to her site and see what you can do with them!!!
See you soon crafty friends xxx 🙂
