Hello you lovely lot!…
If you have been following my blog over the last few years, you are probably wondering what on earth happened to Daisy Jaynes Designs?
Simple answer: Life just got in the way! At the time I was designing cards for 3 stamp companies and it just got too much…so i took some ‘me’ time. Before I knew it 1 month became 6! I was still crafting for myself (had a couple of family weddings) and if you have ever offered to do invites and the like, you know the planning and work involved completely takes over all of your spare time.
Then two things happened… Firstly, the world went crazy for a bit, which meant I was focusing most of my time on work and making sure my loved ones were ok and secondly I lost my crafting space to accommodate a family member.
I started crocheting blankets as presents and snuggled into cosy nights with wool 😜 At the beginning of 2023 I need some sort of organisation as it was starting to take over the living room…. I watched some YT vids and decided to have a go at making a caddy to hold all of my hooks and wool for my current project. And it turned out pretty great!
Now as seasoned crafters, you know what I mean when I say ‘ I fell down that rabbit hole….Deep!!
I loved the construction process of making something in 3D. I have always liked fabrics and textiles and all these things together made me happy….
Nearly 9 months down the line and Daisy Jaynes Designs is back. I will be posting as often as I can and it could be showcasing a new make or maybe a short tutorial or tip for other sewing crafters.
Now if you have read all the way to here… thank you and I really appreciate you… I know some of you will not be interested in my new passion and thats fine 😘 but I have purposely kept all of my previous card designing posts as inspiration for all you talented peeps out there…
