The second card in my Christmas card series 2016, The 12 days of Christmas, is…
‘On the second day of Christmas, my truelove sent to me…two turtle doves…’ (and yes! I am still singing in my head 😉 )

You can now see which way this card series is going, lol!…
The sentiment has been printed onto Neenah solar white card and die cut using a rectangle stitched border die. I then used a Versamark pen to trace over the sentiment and heat emboss with clear embossing powder for the words and Gold embossing powder for the number. Next I used Tim Holtz Distress ink in Tumbled Glass to blend the background. I used die cut stencils to create the clouds ( I think they are Lawn Fawn stitched cloud dies).The Turtle Doves were coloured with Copic markers and jazzed up with a little Stickles glitter glue. The large image has been popped up on to foam tape for dimension and the smaller image has been directly printed on to the background (By the way, I am using this method on each card and the smaller images were masked before I inked the background) Lastly, I used Liquid Pearls in Opaque White to add the dots to the background.
The whole series features the Bugaboo digital stamp set ‘The 12 days of Christmas’
